With the deep understanding on forest structure and function. The purpose of forest management is not only to provide timber, but also to maintain the health and stability of the entire ecosystem. The theory of close-to-nature forest emerged for this. Stand spatial structure is a very important part in the theory of close-to-nature forest. Stand spatial structure is that the distribution pattern of trees and the arrangement fashion of their attribute of the spatial structure. Stand spatial structure determines the competition and the spatial ecological position, to a large extent it determines the stability of forest and the size of operating room on stand.Under the guidance of the close-to-nature forest theory, They are filtered that health index, diversity index, aim index, diameter, neighborhood pattern, minimum radius, neighborhood comparison by using rough set theory, and the decision-making rule of each factor is established. According to the decision-making weigh of each factor in optimizing stand spatial structure, the importance of these factors by turns is health index, diameter, aim index, diversity index, neighborhood pattern, minimum radius, neighborhood comparison.Based on the optimization model of stand spatial structure and computer-aided system for the optimization of stand spatial structure are designed. There are four modules in computer-aided system, they are data module, optimization module of stand spatial structure, print module and help module.Information of stand spatial structure can be managed and analyzed by using data module, simulation optimization for stand spatial structure can be carried out by using optimization module, report forms can be printed by using print module, people can be guided to operate the computer-aided system by using help module.
