Building Water Supply and Drainage Engineering is an important component of industrial and civil architecture. In recent years , Such construction industry development upsurge has significantly driven the development and promotion of the development of water supply and drainage engineering disciplines. Building drainage system's physical phenomenon is fluid flow phenomena. Existing steady flow theory has not effectively explained the drainage system within the unsteady and multiphase flow phenomena.Basic theory of the drainage system needs further development. However, experiments and field tests by traditional research methods cost funds and time and need to open up a new research method. As the fluid is in the section with complex boundary figure, the measure for it is very hard. In addition, due to the limitation of physical model test, the experiment can only afford the parameter for whole flow, while the numerical simulation can offer the detailed information for correlative flow. In large numbers of numerical simulation methods, FLUENT is a good method. With its application to fluid simulation, we can get the total distribution of each fluid parameter. The computation with FLUENT is simple, fast and convenient and the precision is fine. It not only can simulate laminar flow and turbulence but also can simulate incompressible viscous flows and compressible flows. So it has great practicability. This paper is to research the damage factors that wash basin trap's seal been destroied and the pressure distribution in the riser through the application of large-scale computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software FLUENT. Introduces the theory and application of FLUENT and explain its grid, physical models, boundary conditions, turbulence model and solver. Combine the experiment of the wash basin at home and modeling of the wash basin, use FLUENT to simulate, and compare with experimental results. Study the flow pattern in the building drainage systems and use FLUENT to simulate the drainge situation in riser and analyse the simulation results. Confirmed that CFD simulation can be used in Building Water Supply and Drainage's theory research and engineering design.
