POD propulsor is a new type of ship propulsor that has been developed in recent years. The device can improve the overall ship performance, save space of the compartment, increase the payload, bring the advantages of electric propulsion system into full play. As the present study of POD electric propulsion system is still in its infancy in China, there are still many problems in the practical applications. Therefore, the modeling and simulation studies of the POD electric propulsion system plays a helpful role in the technological applications of the POD electric propulsion, A software simulation research of the POD electric propulsion system is made in this paper.The structure of POD electric propulsion system is first analyzed in this paper. Taking account of the engineering application, starting with the POD propeller and propulsion motors, analyzing the influence of the wind and water resistance which infects the movement of the ship greatly, establishing simulation model by using the SIMULINK of the simulation tool MATLAB, integrating these modules together by using the established ship-motor-propeller model, observing and analyzing these module's influence to the entire ship movements conveniencely in this paper.Through the hydrodynamic characteristic analysis of the Twin-type POD propulsor, the simulation model of propeller of the twin-type POD is established in this paper using SIMULINK considering the flow's influence in the process of the ship movement. Because most of the current twin-style POD choose synchronous motor in the aspect of propulsor motors, permanent magnet synchronous motor is analyzed totally in this paper, more comprehensive analysis and the space voltage vector speed control system based on SVPWM technique is established with the fuzzy PI control adopted in the control link. The construction of the ship-motor-propeller model is to consider these three modules as a whole, considering the influence of the thrust, wind, stream and other resistance to the movements of the ship. Based on this, the wind and flow acting on the hull is analyzed, and their simulation model have been established. Because a ship sailing on the inland waterways is studied in this paper, there is no analysis of interference power of the wave.Finally, the various subsystems are integrated together and a simulation study is carried out, simulation results show that: This simulation system which has a certain degree of universality can reflect twin-style POD ship sailing states. The various states of the sailing ship can be simulated by modifying the parameters inside. It lay the foundation for the next development of the simulation of the POD propulsor physical model. |
