With the continuous replacement of household appliances and the sustainable development strategy carried out by the nation, the sensorless permanent magnet synchronous motor as the core of the air conditioning will be widely used. Because the compressor can not be reversal and vibrated in the starting process, it is need to investigate a new sensorless algorithm to start the permanent magnet synchronous motor in the air-conditioning, which is main content of the thesis. How to ensure the location of rotor reliably and quickly under the starting the permanent magnet synchronous motor successfully is deeply researched in this paper. The principle work and achievements of this thesis are shown as follows:Firstly, vector control theory, space voltage pulse width modulation and sensorless field orientation control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor have been studied. Secondly, a method of estimating the PMSM rotor position at the standstill has been presented. In the detection process, the rotor displacement and inversion does not occur, and it will not result in error of reverse polarity detection. It also can accurately locate the initial position of the rotor in the±15°range. Thirdly, a novel start-up method which laid foundation for controlling d-q axis current and frequency has been proposed. Moreover, it is independent of the model of the motor and it is robust to motor parameter variations. Finally, a system composed by a novel controlling chip STM32F103B of ST incorporation and the intelligence power module FSBB20CH60 of FAIRCHILD incorporation is designed. Our experimental results get on the experiment platform of STM32F103B through debugging the hardware and the software of the system. The experiment system proves that the starting method can ensure the success rate and reduce the start-up current and mechanical vibration.
