The thermal power unit is developing to large capacity, high parameter and high efficiency. And this demands higher requirements of control quality of thermal auto control system. But at present, domestic large units are designed for basic load, so the peak-load regulation capability of them is not ideal. Now many researchers research and improve auto control strategy of power plant thermal process using modern algorithms. Domestic researches are all in theory stage yet, and the case of actual application is very less. Siemens'plant control optimization system adopting the bran-new control ideal of unit, achieves the goal that units response load variations fast and solve the disadvantage that the power plant responses the change of power network load slowly, through making full use of the unit's energy storage and optimizing the parameters of controllers. New-coordination optimization system has been successfully used in Guohua-Dingzhou electric power plant 600MW thermal power unit.
