Seamless track is the long rail jointed by standard steal rails. Without lots seams, trains can run steadly and comfortabely. rail and truck can have lower maintenance cost and longer operating life. With the development of high-speed and heavy-load railway, railway construction must be strengthened to improve vehicle ride confort and steadbility. And seamless process of quasi high speed and trans-section rail can be realized without the effect of steal joints in buffer zones and switch zones. This disseration studies the technology of quasi high speed and trans-section seamless rail combined with the scientific research subject "experimental and application of study on quasi high speed and trans-section rail" sponsored by Guanzhou railway group company. The rearch approaches are: firstly, structural and dynamic analysis be taken based on the collection and arrangement of the data at home and abroad; secondly, the design and construction points of joints, laying and mantanance principle of seamless track, are studed; thirdly, economic benefits analysis for supporting construction are analyzed. Followings are the content of this paper:(1) According to design theory, structural design based on the collection of technical information is finished, whicht includes connect on between seamless track and seamless turnout, track distribution, determination of locked rail temperature, steadbility and strength checking, and reinforcing measures.(2) Calculation of welded turnout's longitudinal force and displacement, checking for turnout's steadbility and strength, key connector's strength checking and design for neutralization temperature are carrried out based on force anaylsis model.(3) Dynamic Characteristics of welded turnout are studied. Track analysis model is set up according to the site situation. Comprision of results between numerical simulation and site test is analyzed.(4) Design principles and technical requirements for joints are put forward. Tests for joints' freezing and welding have been carried on. Experimental rail laying has been conducted on site. (5) Observation test is carried on according to the maintenance of welded turnout. Operation standard is formed based on the summary of maintenance experiences.(6) Technical and economic benefits for quasi high speed and trans-sectionseamless track have been analyzed.
