In the last few years the magnetic particle testing technology has made great progress and the technical specification has achieved the international standard. However, with our unceasingly increased railway speed and the railway vehicles management modernization's unceasing development, it's necessary to examine the quality and security of inset dish wheels.The inset dish wheels are the key components for the train's high speed and heavy loading. These parts need repairing after the trains run a certain cycle. When repairing them, we must use the crack detection. But the magnetic particle examination is the most commonly used method.We can set up a device using PLC(programmable logic controller) and industrial control computer's communication. By the PLC in the onstage controlling, the industrial computer works on the backstage. What we must do is to compile corresponding instructions to control the crack detection machine through the computer. We add expansion of A / D and D / A module through PLC. The following is work feeding, the electrode intensifying, magnetic coil closure, materials rotation, spraying magnetic suspension, and current control, the magnetic charge, demagnetization, the song folder, open reduction and so on. During the entire testing process, people only need to watch the cracks and fill in a form. Others can be automatically completed by PLC, thereby reducing the danger caused by human factors.
