| With the rapid development of cities constructions, many pits projects appeared and excavation is becoming deeper and deeper. Pit excavation, because of long time, high costs and many difficulties in design and calculation, is a focus for civil engineers how to reasonably calculate, design and check the braced system.Plaxis, a Finite element method software, was used in this paper to simulate the Shanghai Jinshi Hotel engineering. Excavation and shoring were analyzed by this software. Harding-soil model was used in this paper to simulate the soil. Beam element was used to simulate the stake wall and anchor element was used to simulate support system. Then set different project step to simulate the excavation and shoring process. Structural internal force, displacement and the earth's surface sedimentation can be calculated by this way. We can get many conclusion as follows1. soil stress was distributed at the course of excavation. The change can be shown easily by the numerical simulation method.2. Designs of engineering can be optimized by the finite element method.3. Whole excavate process can be simulated by the finite element method and it can get exact calculation of stress distortion of stake wall.4. if there is a building beside pit, we can also use the method to analyse the sedimentation and show the security appraise. |
