Salt ground water is a prospective sustitute for the seawater in aquaculture because of its charater of virus-free and no direct access to the virus-contained seawater. Ganyu County in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province aquaculture industry to more underground water sources for breeding. As the region underground high levels of iron and manganese in the water, fish and other seriously affected the growth of the local aquaculture industry has brought enormous losses. To solve this problem, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Marine Research we Qingdao Polytechnic University conducted the "salt ground water removing iron and manganese" research.In addition to the current groundwater manganese research on underground fresh water, salt water on the ground floor and less. Ganyu County for underground water quality characteristics, we put forward the "sand filter air aeration + activated carbon adsorption -ozonation" process, and conduct a pilot study.Initially on the three different media (ceramic, quartz sand and Mashan manganese sand) on the effect of the removal of iron and manganese. The results show that, under the same experimental conditions, the worst effects of iron and manganese removal of ceramic, quartz sand times, Mashan Manganese Removal of the best sand. Test selection Mashan manganese sand as a filler, and to determine the Mashan manganese sand filter to remove underground water column of iron and manganese in the best operation conditions: DO not be less than 2.5 mg/L, pH between 6.5~7.5 , the filtration rate at 8m/h, the removal rate is 88% and 55%, in the follow-up process needs further study manganese removal problems.Secondly, the study ozone - activated carbon process on the underground water of iron and manganese removal effect, ozone exposure time of 7min, the dosage of 3mg/L, activated carbon filtration column height of 1200mm, achieved the best removal efficiency , a water concentration of trace iron and manganese concentration is 0.06 mg/L, removal of residual ozone could reach 0.1 mg/L.Research on the final package test equipment joint operation, the underground water in the iron and manganese removal effect of the situation. With the water temperature at 20℃, pH between 6.5~7.5, DO not be less than 2.5mg/L, the filtration rate at 8 m/h about ozone exposure in the reaction process, ozone dosage control in the 3 mg/L, contact reaction time control in 7 min. Under these conditions, the raw water treatment package testing device, after the water Trace Fe2+ , Mn2+ concentration is 0.06 mg/L, respectively, the removal rate is 100% and 96%.
