In this paper, the study is based on the standard multi-function digital multimeter source automated testing system that can automate digital multimeter test / calibration and automatic error analysis of measurement data, to prevent the carrying out of artificial test that generated the error and ensure data the accuracy and improve the reliability of test results.This paper studies automatic test system Digital Multimeters the importance of research, digital multimeter Automatic Test System hardware and software design, the measurement results of data processing and system uncertainty, the standard unit test the stability and repeatability for analysis.The system consists of the multi-function standard resource,data acquisition system,GPIB bus,DMM under test,PC.The multi-function standard source outputs corresponding standard signals according to the instruction from PC.The data acquisition system and the GPIB bus are responsible for the acquisition and transmission of data.The DMM under test measures the signal from the multi-function standard resource and outputs the result.The PC is central core of the whole system.It finishes instruction transmission,data reception and estimates the uncertainty automatically.Finally to receive automatic data processingUncertainty on the system through the calculation of the stability and repeatability of the analysis to ensure the accuracy of results.The practicality of the system high, not only to avoid errors caused by manual test and measurement results can be achieved automatic analysis and intelligent choice, greatly reducing the uncertainty of measurement results to ensure accurate and reliable measurement results.
