Nowadays, science is developing very fast, people's life quality improves a lot, the functions of industrial products are very similar while the value of design is becoming to be obvious. According to Maslow's Need Hierarchy theory, the design of product could meet with people's need of aesthetic appreciation and self-fulfillment in a way. In addition, the design of product also has some commercial value, it's the way to build up brand DNA. All these factors work together to accelerate the development and evolution of product design. We can say that design is a new kind of function. Visual language is the design tool, the understanding level of visual language and the ability of using it can determine the level of product design. At the moment, most Chinese companies still haven't understood the importance of product design. The meaning of this dissertation lies in inspiring Chinese companies and interrelated practitioner to think about the product design and raise the Chinese product design level.
