This paper is aimed to study Man-land relation of Hetao irrigation area, taking Dengkou County as an example, from the angle of Urban planning.First, the author study on the theory about Man-land relation, and then get the conclusion of structure, characteristic and driving force mechanism of urban Human-land relation ,the last improve the urban space structure from the Urban planning, getting the result of coordination of urban Human-land relation.From the data collecting and scene investigation we know that Dengkou county is the represent of Hetao irrigation area urban, here irrigation agriculture environment is so good that the irrigation agriculture history is very long. And the Hetao irrigation area urban have the characteristic of deep culture, small urban scale, low population density, normal economic development.Dengkou County is at the head of Hetao irrigation area which is the tradition irrigation agriculture area. In modern time, here is a place where have a lot of mineral resource and water resource, deep culture, good traffic condition, close to national energy base, on the Jing-Hu-Bao-Lan economic belt. All of these provide a good developing condition for Dengkou's development of economy and society. Dengkou is a small urban and in the time of Later-industrializing, so Dengkou have some characteristics of small urban in the time of Later-industrializing.From the angle of Urban planning, we need to catch these characteristics and advantages, pay attention to urban space structure, especially on the scale and layout of industrial land, green land, water land and other lands, to get the purpose of economy, society and culture's well developing and Dengkou urban Human-land relation system and its sub-system's coordinate developing.
