In order to develop better performance of acoustic sensors and biomedical ultrasound device,people are trying to find a new material with advantages of both ceramic and polymer,and at the same time can curb there disadvantages,so they begin the research of ceramic/polymer piezoelectric composite material.To the end of the 20th century,people have successfully developed 1-3,3-1,3-2,3-3,0-3,2-2 and crescent,cap-like structure of the composite materials,there performances are better than piezoelectric ceramic.Although piezoelectric composite materials' performances are different because of their composition and structure of different connectivity,they all have the following advantages:1.have low acoustics impendence,so easy to match with water and biological tissue;2.high electromechanical coupling coefficient;3.soft,can easily made to every shapes you want.4.Pulse echo signal's bandwidth is comparatively broad and suitable for making the broadband ultrasonic transducer.5,d_h·g_h is higher than PZT,so they are suitable for making underwater sound component.Piezocomposites which consist of piezoelectric ceramic and large molecules polymer,are well suited for ultrasonic transducers in underwater sound and medical due to their advantages over conventional piezoelectric materials,such as low acoustics impendence,low transverse electromechanical coupling coefficient and high electromechanical coupling coefficient.In application to underwater sound and medical ultrasonics,array of ultrasonic transducers is very important,and 2-2 composite piezoelectric is very useful in the research and application of array of ultrasonic transducers.So Some studies about this research job begin in recent years.In use of underwater sound and ultrasonic technology,transducer mainly works in extensional vibrational mode.The piezoelectric ceramic thin disk and cirque are common piezoelectric device often used.Finite element method has become a proven and reliable numerical simulation method and had been widely applied to engineering structures design and mechanics analysis as a tool,so it would be signality to apply finite element method to piezoco-mposites analysis.The main content is following as:1.Study of the radial vibration of 2-2 composite piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers is briefly reviewed,the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit is obtained.2.The relationship of parameters of transducers is obtained used finite element method.Have this result,we can optimize transducers.It has practical value to the design of 2-2 composite piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers.
