Based on the technical requirements in international bid documents about 2×1000MW units which adopt air-cooled busduct of Shandong, Haiyang nuclear power plant in phase I, the author makes a research on the choice of forced air-cooled enclosed busduct and cooling system of large nuclear power plant in this paper, sets up the mathematical model about heat production and radiation calculation of forced air-cooled enclosed busduct, and develops calculation programme of heat balance. According to the actual location of enclosed busduct and environmental conditions of Shandong, Haiyang nuclear power plant, this model and calculation programme are proved successful and can be used to demonstrate the feasibility of adopting forced air-cooled busduct for large current busduct; and can also be used to research on temperature field distribution of conductor and coat of isolated phase enclosed busduct so as to testify the heat radiation conditions of adopting forced air-cooled cooling method. Through calculation, designers can reasonably design and select the related parameters and types of air fan and heat exchanger. After the confirmation of type and cooling method of the busduct, there are still kinds of choices for the cross section size of the busduct which all can meet the requirements of heat radiation, and hence an optimization design is required. The orthogonal design is utilized to calculate the select schemes which are in a small quantity to analyze and compare the calculation results. Through this, the optimized scheme is selected and can be used in practice. The calculation shows that it is reasonable to adopt forced air-cooled cooling method for enclosed busduct of 1000MW units in Shandong, Haiyang nuclear power plant. With the increase of planning and construction of large units, especially with the fast development of nuclear project in our country, the nationalization of forced air-cooled isolated phase enclosed busduct has been put on the agenda. Therefore, the present research results as well as development and production ability in combine with international advanced technology should be utilized to promote the trial-manufacture and production of products as soon as possible.
