This thesis systematically analyzed the characters of the reported fuze powers, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the various reserve batteries. With the Li/thionyl chloride as the electrolyte liquids in the battery system, the author designed and developed a miniature lithium reserve battery, whose structure was compact and whose cost was inexpensive, which made a breakthrough on the miniaturization of the reserve battery.Firstly, materials of the partition board were defined through the compatibility tests. The technical procedure of the partition board was accomplished, and the intensity and the leak-proof examination of the partition board were carried out. Based on it, the division type shell of the designed partition board was developed.Secondly, suitable electrolyte liquids were defined through the detailed study of electrolyte additives, and the load capacity and surface status of the carbon cathode were enhanced by the improvement the suppression craft.Thirdly, the distribution of electrolyte liquids in the internal battery was calculated after breaking the partition board, and a reasonable structure of the electrode was determined.Fourthly, the capacity of battery was determined through the volume distribution and the capacity computation in the battery.Finally, the test of discharged performance of the lithium reserve battery was conducted. The result indicated that the battery's discharge voltage, the activation time and the capacity could obtain the designed requirements under the ambient temperature condition.
