The inverter resistance welding power source is widely used in industry because of its advanced performances. However, the improvement of the welding quality is limited due to the disadvantages of the traditional analog hard-switching inverter resistance welding technology.On the base of analyzing the disadvantages of the traditional analog hard-switching inverter resistance welding power source and the advantages of the digital controlling, two kinds of topologies of full-bridge phase-shifted PWM soft-switching circuits were analyzed in details as well as their working principles and controlling methods. After that, a new type of zero-voltage swiching inverter resistance welding power source with intelligent control based on the AVR MCU was proposed. Moreover, the hardware and software design of the system was introduce in details .The results of experiments show that the design is reasonable and the scheme of control is practical.
