Concrete Filled Steel Tube (CFST) arch bridge with tie bas is a new type of bridge which is more and more widely applied in China recently, and it is a relatively ideal structural form for long span arch bridge, because of its light self-weight, favourable resistance capability and convenient construction. Construction monitoring of Concrete Filled Steel Tube is a very complex process, in order to satisfy the requirements of design strength and final bridge alignment, Construction monitoring is very necessary. Based on the real situation of the ChuHe bridge that is under construction in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province., both deformation and stresses(strains) are monitored where the section deflections of steel tubular arch ribs and the developmeng of stresses (strains) are monitored.Four construction methods of Concrete Filled Steel Tube (CFST) arch bridge are introduced and construction scheme of main bridge are establish in the paper. Gauges on the key sections are distributed. a finite element model is established with largescale finite element analysis software ANSYS theoretical analysis of construction stages is introducted by a finite element model which is a largescale finite element analysis software ANSYS. The feasibility and reliability that using finite element model to carry out these construction monitoring are verified.
