Orifice-plate is the core components of orifice-plate flowmeter which widely used in gas, steam and liquid flow measurement. The accuracy of the geometric parameters of the orifice-plate will directly affect the measurement accuracy of the orifice-plate flowmeter. In order to accurately measure gas flow, the geometric parameters of orifice-plate must be measured in accordance with the relevant international and domestic standards.Because of so many parameters, to complete measurement of orifice-plate in now days involves not only so many kinds of measurement equipment, but also complex operation, long period, and low efficiency. Also, which are unable to meet the needs of field use. Therefore, to development a kind of rapid automatic measurement equipment for orifice-plate's parameters which can works in field is necessary.The thesis mainly describes the followings:1. According to the characteristics and specifications of orifice-plate parameters, with the analysis of precision length measurement technology, such as image measurement and grating measurement, make the design of parameters measurement method and the implementation plan.2. Design measurement control and data acquisition system. Make design of system motherboard, main control unit, and DC motor drive unit for the production and debug. Choose reliable applicable grating measurement unit and stepper motor drive unit.3. Design, develop and debug computer software, accomplish functions of measurement control, data processing, measurement records management, parameter setting and data backup, etc.4. Analyze the measurement uncertainty of the equipment. Execute verification tests to evaluate its measurement accuracy specifications.
