As people pay attention to the environment and energy issues deathly, energy saving and environmental protection has become a permanent issue. The total number of vehicles continues to increase, vehicle emissions have become a major source of environmental pollution, and therefore every country become to develop and execute more stringent vehicle emission regulations. With increasing maturity of diesel engine electronic control technology, diesel electronic fuel injection system more and more has been used. In order to develop better EFI, their calibration and testing of fuel injection characteristic is a very necessary step.The system of fuel injection characteristics test and fuel quantity linearization auto calibration system for diesel engine electronic control fuel injection system developed in this paper can provide a more complete and accurate fuel injection characteristic data and hydraulic delay map, fuel quantity linearization map which does not contain delay (hereafter fuel quantity linearization map), which can optimize diesel electronic fuel injection system for performance, speed up the development process of diesel electronic fuel injection system and its controller based on accurate data.The major work completed in this paper:System Architecture Design:Against electronic control unit pump system and high pressure common rail fuel injection system on test requirements, design of the fuel injection characteristics test subsystem; against electronic control unit pump system on fuel quantity linearization demand, design of the and fuel quantity linearization auto calibration subsystem, calibration its hydraulic delay map and fuel quantity linearization map; two subsystems can operate independently, and their functions can complement each other.Hardware System Design:The system is made up of the pump test-bed, sensors, EFS single injection tester, diesel engine electronic control fuel injection system, phase synchronization modules, data acquisition cards, ECU, USBCAN and PC . EFS single injection used as a measurement core measurements, which can provide measurement data for the whole system in real time.Software R & D:The system used LabVIEW and VC++ as a development platform, completed a program design such as software interface, data communications, data analysis, map calibration and file saving. The software has simple operation, good interaction and user-friendly future.Application Test of the System:This paper had completed the fuel injection characteristics test on PDD_YC electronic control unit pump system and GD-1 Electronic control common rail fuel injection system, and gained complete and accurate injection characteristic data, and also the PDD_YC electronic control unit pump system had been calibrated in this paper. We had got hydraulic delay map and fuel quantity linearization map.Experiments show that the system designed in this paper is accurate and reliable.
