According to the present developing condition of transportation machine repairing, The Status and prospect of transportation machine repairing and inspecting in the 21st century are analyzed. Several developing strategies for the inspection to the ship engine are put forward.The thesis introduces the basic concept, domestic and international research work and the application of many sources information fusion and carry on the layer to turn the description to much source information. In synthesizing and analyzing a great deal of domestic and information relevant foundation that many source information to technique cultural heritage and studies the result, carried on to many connection method of the source information fusion data to elaborate in details. basic theory , fusion model and fusion process of the Bayes method , D-S method and connection method of superiority are discussed. D-S method is greatly used in Fault Diagnosis System of Diesel Engine.The thesis analyzes the major operation parameters including exhaust gas temperature, maximum fire pressure, turbo change revolution, etc. It shows that ship'engine faults are not caused by a short period. But by a series latent reasons-the trend of performance parameters decrease and the relationship of the important parameters to operating status of main diesel engine. It presents the decision model of the ship engine condition monitoring. Based on D-S evidential theory. At last, the application process on inspection of diesel engine base on information fusion is introduced by practical examples. It can be concluded that the frame architecture is an effective method for diesel engine condition monitoring. And it put forwards a new method to diagnose the faults of diesel. It is the new step for the practical application to the survey of ship based on information fusion theory in practical application.
