In this dissertation, prediction approach for fatigue life of a semi-trailer frame based on Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) and Dynamics Multibody System has been studied. The main achievements in this paper are as following:1. The theory of fatigue analysis and the way of prediction method for fatigue life are summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of different theories and methods are pointed out. Then an anlyse method based on frequency-domain are put forward.2. The FEA model of the frame is established, and the analysis about tatic strength is carried out on this model.3. The mode characteristics and dynamic response curve of the frame are derived from the dynamic finite element anslysis.4. The virtual prototype of the semi-trailer is established using ADAMS, under the given excitation, the the dynamic simulation is carried out and counterforce-time course of load is gained.5. Making PSD of the counterforce-time course as the excition of the frame, then the dynamic response characteristics and S-N curve are combined, the fatigue life of the frame is calculated with fatigue analysis software MSC.
