In this paper, the two-stage pulse detonation engine has been numerical simulation. The operation of this new concept PDE was based on the shock wave focus periodic in the resonator cavity, then the detonation explode directly, however, the physical processes in the precombustor and in the resonator cavity are very complicate, many expert hold different viewpoint, so, in this paper, by use of FLUENT software, the physical processes in the resonator cavity been numerical simulated. The numerical simulation was consisted of two parts: The first part is about the resonator cavity numerical simulation without combustion, by considering the influencing factor in the fact, many working condition has been numerical simulation, in order to summarize the influences when the resonator cavity operate under different conditions, such as inlet pressure, inlet temperature, geometry and environment temperature, especially the infection to the focus ability, all of this are expected to give some references in design of resonator cavity for the future; the second part is on the base of the first part, the combustion was joined, then simulate the process of detonation, analyzing the explode after shock wave focus and detonation transmit process. Finally, it has summarized that this new concept PDE compare to common PDE has many advantages both thrust level and detonation frequencies, meanwhile, it was found that there have many problem confronted with to resolve before the new concept PDE come to engineering application.
