This article is mainly focused on the study and analysis of wear particles formed in the principle components of the engine through the technology of ferrograhy. according to the data of the characteristics of wear picture to estimate the working of an engine. Not only effective in studying and analyzing the mechanism of wear particles, ferrography can also be used to evaluate the overall performance of the engine through monitoring its working process and detecting mechanic failures. Based on the internal combustion engine.we have studied and analyzed the damages caused by engine friction as well as related theories of cerography and its aplications. we have also classified and studied the data based on the characteristics of the engine through collecting ,analyzing and testing the sample engine oils .we have managed to find out the nature and the formation of wear particles in different states(in trial period, stable period, declining period) These findings allow us to monitor the performance of an engine and to detect its failures effectively as well as provide both timely and accurate information to ensure the normal working of an engine.
