| The fuel is the basis of the single-event FAE or the thermobaric weapons. Study forthe compatibility of the Solid Compound Fuel in this article, included the innercompatibility in the compositions of the SCF and the outer compatibility between theSCF and the contact materials. Meanwhile, we also made study on its thermal stability.The main study and conclusions as follow:1. According to the criterion of National Martial Standard's temperature keepingexperiments, the inner compatibility of the fuel had been tested by DTA calorimeter.We tested the thermal decomposition of the composition system at differenttemperature elevation rate, and compared with the unstable system. The experimentalresult was accorded with the criterion. The inner compatibility of the mixed fuel wasgood.2. We used DSC calorimeter to test the outer compatibility between the fuel and thecontact materials, and dealed with the datas. The outer compatibility between the fueland the contact materials was good. Additionally, in order to study the outercompatibility between the fuel and the aluminum used in the explosive charge, weused etch method to analyze. The bright no corrupt metal sheet indicated that theouter compatibility between the fuel and the aluminum was good.3. In order to study the stability of the fuel, we used DTA calorimeter to test thewhole thermal decomposition of the fuel. The result was that the outset temperature ofthe fuel was 251.9℃, it was higher than used temperature by far and higher than theoutset temperature of other explosives. So the stability of the fuel was good.Additionally, we used mercury gauge method of the vacuum stability experiment tovalidate the conclusion of the stability of the fuel. The result was that the emitted gasof the three parallel test specimens were 0.04ml/g, 0.12ml/g, 0.06ml/g, lower than2.0ml/g the appraisal rank recommended by far. In summary, the stability of theSolid Compound Fuel was good. |
