A great-capacity automatic charging equipment for storage battery controlled by DSP was introduced, including the research on charge method and charge power supply。Based on the investigation of many charge methods, a new charge method--the undulating intermittent charge method with obverse-reverse-zero pulse was brought forward。For the discharged battery had been restored to full charge, the charge time was much retrenched by this method。Ground on the HF SPS (High-Frequency Switching Power Supply), the converter was designed and the efficiency of system is promoted。At the beginning of software design by using the tool box of Simulink in Matlab, adopting Fuzzy-PID methods to simulating the controlling system of charging system, then the result of simulation will be used in DSP controller and change the parameters of Kp, Ki, Kd in PID controller, so this way of battery charging could simulate the excellent curve and reach abatter effect。The system could monitor and control charge current, charge voltage and temperature during charge process。The-ΔV of battery during the anaphase of charge process was adopted to control charge termination, then automatic current-transformation method is adopted to intelligently charge accumulators。The software/hardware implementation of a DSP(TMS320F2407) based system controller that performs high-speed data-acquisition, event management, control algorithm and output control.
