As the vehicle mission regulation becomes stricter, the vehicle electroniccontrol technology as the key of engine control comes to be more and morepopular in the world. This key technology is the unique technology fittingfor the require of the using of vehicle in the model society for it had madea great progress in the power, economic, emission etc.This paper will focus on the analysis and development on the hardware andsoftware of ECU based on the reference of foreign advanced ECU technology.The key of the engine electronic control is to develop the hardware andsoftware of ECU. The gradual development of the hardware and software willmeet the need of more accurate control for the vehicle electronics. Combinedwith the request of current emission regulation and fuel qualify, it analyzesthe ECU technology and the real environment of engine, then designs thehardware and software of the fuel injection of the ECU with the 80C196KB ofINTEL as the main CMOS chip. It also draws the hardware circuit with the PROTELsoftware and designs the ASM software proceeding etc. Hardware and softwaretests how that the improved ECU can meet the basic requires of the vehicle.At the same time, gave out the reference for the design of the best ECU inthe future.
