| The dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is the third-age type of photoelectric chemical solar cell with simple preparation procedure, low cost, stable photo-to-electric performance and friendly environment amity, which make it a good alternative of photon-to-electron devices for solar cell. Recently, many efforts have been focusing on the enhancement of the photoelectric conversion efficiency and the improvement of stability of DSSC.Aiming at the problems above, the influence of graphite counter electrode, the oxidize/deoxidize potential of I3-/I- couple in different solvents on the photoelectric performance of DSSC were investigated in this paper. The major work as follows:(1) The research of high-performance and low-cost graphite counter electrode for DSSC. A series of graphite counter electrode was made with different methods and a kind of high performance porous graphite/TiO2 /Ni composite counter electrode for DSSC was obtained which possessed higher open circuit voltage (VOC) and higher overall energy conversion efficiency (η) than the traditional Pt modified counter electrode. The influence of graphite counter electrode on the photovoltaic properties of DSSC was discussed.(2) A novel double cells DSSC was designed and the influence of different solvents on the counter electrode and the overall energy conversion of DSSC were researched. It was found that the oxidize/deoxidize potential of I3-/I- couple greatly depended on the kinds of solvents. The VOC could be improved by increasing the deoxidize potential of I3-/I- couple without the change of the properties of TiO2 film, consequently, theηcould be enhanced. According to this find, a novel double cell DSSC was designed. Namely, two kinds of solvents which were benefit for cathode and anode were filled in the two cell, respectively, which resulted in a greatly enhancement of the photocurrent properties compared to the normal DSSC. The VOC reached 1020 mV, net increasing about 220 mV. The ISC increased about 15 %, theηincreased about 47 %. The invention of the double cell DSSC provides a new method for the research of DSSC. (3) The double cell quasi-solid-state DSSC was also researched. Compared with normal quasi-solid-state DSSC, the VOC, ISC andηof the new devise were improved by chosing a suitable solvent on counter electrode and increasing the deoxidize potential of I3-/I- couple on counter electrode. The double cell quasi-solid-state DSSC had a better performance compared with the normal DSSC with only one solvent, the Voc increased 136 mV, the ISC increased for 14%, theηincreased for 37 %. |
