Aiming at the problem of Global parameter dynamic setting of Wide Area Power System Stabilizer base on Wide Area Measurement System, divided it into two multi-objective optimization problems.1. Establishment of WAMS.The key factor with establishment of WAMS is the configuration of PMU in the power system. Therefore, aiming at the existing optimal placement problem of PMU in the power system, this essay further considered the condition that the number of PMUs increase in the development of power system. Taking the observability of whole system as constraint condition and maximal measurement redundancy of measured quantities as the objectives, by using a topological analysis method, the enhanced particle swarm optimization(EPSO), the optimal placement of PMU was achieved in the process of the increase of installation number. The numerical examples show that the algorithm is effective and reliable.2. Global parameter optimization of PSS.The model of power system, including Synchronous Generator, Excitation System, PSS, Prime Mover and Governing Systems, was established. And based on this model, taking the scope of adjustable paramenter as constraint and the minimum fluctuate of active power and power angle as the objectives, by using hybrid Chaos Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (CPO) for off-line calculation, the optimal paramenter of PSS under small and large singal disturbince was got, moreover, the parameter comparison table of main low frequency oscillation in power syatem was built. In addition, the adjustable paramenter of PSS was optimization variable in the process of this optimization caculation.According to collecting date of power system through WAMS, the oscillation mode of power system low-frequency oscillation was analysed, and depended on this mode the all corresponding parameters that can be dynamically adjusted of PSS were got according to the parameter comparison table. Thus, global dynamic parameter setting of PSS was achieved.
