Unmanned aerial vehicle plays a more and more important part in the modern wars .It's important to the identify the runway of the airdrome for landing the plane safely.Collecting pictures of the runway of the airdrome is the first important thing.The background of this design is based on the item of"identifying the runway of the airdrome"of plane design graduate school in chengdu.This paper designed a card which has two functions:outputing pictures in the form of PAL ,collecting and storing pictures The signal comed from the vidicon is inputed into the card.After transforming from analog to digital by AD9888, the signals are stored in the SDRAM.After transformed from YUV 4:2:2 to YUV 4:2:0 in the FPGA ,the signals is inputted into DM642.Tn the chip of DM642,the signals are compressed .The compressed data will be stored in the Flash Disk.At the same time .the data is passed out through the interface of Video Port 0 in the DM642..Hard disks are playing an important role in the data collection systems for its small volume, for its capacity and its direct access. Thereupon, Hard disks are in place of the parallel processing systems and the tape recording systems. In usual the storage systems based on hard disks are always used in computers dependently,then it result in the limits of the speed, volume. So we excogitated the special control equipment for the data collection systems.For the convenience of transferring of the collecting data, we used interface of USB in the design and fulfilled the design of a simple portable hard disk.The major contents of this paper include:the theory of collecting data,introducing AD9888,the hardware implement of collecting card;introduing the control timing of SDRAM and The function segmentations in FPGA chip EP2C20;The configuration of AD9888 through I2C Bus of DM642.the introduction of EDMA of DSP;the use of VP port of DM642 .The author's main work is as follow:1. According to the technical target of the system, designed the whole system .2. Designed the hardware system, which focus on the selection of chips on the PCI card, the power network, the speed and capacity of the storage.3. Completed the design of system's logic function with FPGA.The SDRAM's controller and Ping-Pong operation is studied, and the data's continuous storage is also realized.4.Debug the system with both hardware and software. After debugging , we can use this card to collect picture (75 per second,800*600) collectly.
