The meridional streamline-curvature method which is widely used in the design and performance analysis of turbomachinery was developed in this paper to predict the performance a low-loaded single-stage turbine and a high-loaded two-stage turbine in a large range of Reynolds number. Four different loss models with the low Reynolds number correction were coupled in the calculation and simulation of the turbine aero-thermodynamic performance. The paper compares the differences of these models about assumption, mechanism, prediction, performance calculation and so on. The performance for aero-gas turbine working with low Reynolds number was especially simulated. Meanwhile, the effects of Reynolds number on the turbine performance were analyzed in this paper. The results presented that each loss model is suitable for stated turbine design, and for the same turbine, the prediction results using different loss model are different because of the difference in basic theory and assumption. |
