With the maturity of numerical calculation method and the development of computer technique and computer graphics software, sheet metal forming is starting to adopt numerical simulation method to analyze the forming process. Geometry modeling has the merit of early condition is easy, operation efficiency is high, technique cost is low and it is easy to composite encapsulation with the CAD system. During the product is not finalized and in the 5%~30% design process which demands technique reveal & evaluation, by the easy condition hypothesis and geometry simulation, it can estimate the forming and the feasibility of the part easily and quickly. But because of simplifying the influence of the material property and its change, don't account the interaction of each part in forming, simplify various exterior condition to the function in process, as a result the accuracy is worse than the mechanics method. This paper mainly confirms the variety of the thick direction of the material by experiment that can modify the area develop. It can enhance calculation accuracy of the Geometry modeling.Deep drawing is an important sheet metal forming technique. it takes up a great part in the industry department of auto,aviation spaceflight, household appliance and the daily living things .This paper summarized nowadays research actuality of the sheet metal forming, particularly expatiated the Deep drawing forming theory and catches on the process of the pressing figuration deeply. Through the deep drawing of the type cylinder, the paper researches the change rule of the wall thickness that can modify the area develop on the condition of volume invariability.On the base of theorized research, it designed the deep drawing examination of LY12 aluminum metal cylinder, which has flanges. It pertinently researches relative protruding module radius and relative concave module radius, which the two geometry factors have much influence on the max attenuation rate of the wall thickness. So it gets the primary and secondary influence of the two geometry factors, it also got the regress model of the two factors separately. Last it gets the calculated formulas of the wall thickness involving interaction factors.This paper provides the calculated formulas of the max attenuation rate of the deep drawing, examining the correctness and validity.
