The bridge would produce deformation and vibration under the action of linear induction metro train (LIMT), which may bring harmful effect on the structure of bridge, the running safety of the train vehicles and the comfort of passengers. In this paper, by establishing a dynamic analysis model of LIM train-bridge system, the analysis on the responses of bridge and cars under the action of running train was conducted. The main contents of this study are shown as follows:Firstly, the historic and current researches in the field of train-bridge dynamic interaction were comprehensively reviewed;Secondly, based on the bridge dynamics, the vehicle dynamics and the geometric interaction relationship between wheels and track, the dynamic model of LIMT-bridge system was established. By making use of the computation program formulated by professor Xia He, a program for analyzing the dynamic responses of bridges and running LIM cars was developed by FORTRAN software;Finally, three elevated bridge schemes with different pier heights of the No.4 Guangzhou subway were analyzed as case study. The whole histories of the LIM train passing through the bridge were stimulated. The dynamic responses of the bridges and the cars were obtained. The effects of train speed and bridge type on the system vibrations were analyzed by comparison of various conditions.
