With the development of economic globalization and international trade, the annual growth rate of China's total volume of imports and exports is more than 15%,, and the amount of domestic trade has increased rapidly As a result, ports and container terminals which are the keyboards of logistics take on increasing pressures But, for a lack of coastwise container terminals with deep-water channel in the hinterland and the need of trade it is necessaty to construct large container terminals with deep-water berth or channel at islands in and off shore Although there ate kinds of advantages , especially external hydrologic condition and geological condition make the design of jetty and land area to teach a higher level Take Ningbo Daxie Merchants International Terminal as an example, this paper aims to put forward several important points for construction design of similar working, involving influences and solutions of special conditions of islands to design of jetty. With pertinence, it analyzes accurately the influences from stream power of wave enlarging effect in the open sea, measures to taise wear of jetty, selection of jetty structural base under complex geological condition and plans for formation of land area and treatment of groundwork, etcThrough practice, For complicated ground condition, thick cover, high sensitivity and bad stability of mud. laying of sandbag combination is usually adopted to reduce load stress As an example for safety of construction design of deep-sea batardeau upon the mud, deeply inserted drainage plate does not only reinforce steel but also consolidate deep soil In order to reduce horizontally lateral pressure from side ground and ballast behind deep-sea batardeau, vacuum and combined ballast preloading is adopted, which uses lateral contractive pressure produced by vacuum negative pressure, It reinforces deep soil and reduces the pressure to strengthen safety of batardeau etc..
