Missile whether it is offensive or defensive has been an important weapon in high-tech war. Inertial Navigation System (INS) may be affected by much disturbance when missile is going to be launched, for example, ground wind. Missile rocks when there is strong flurry, so there is measuring error of gyro and accelerator. On this condition, if traditional method is adopted to complete the initial alignment of INS, precision of the initial alignment is not high. It is necessary to research initial alignment technology of the Strap-down Inertial Navigation (SINS) under the effect of strong flurry.Normally, there are two kinds of methods to solve the Initial alignment problem of the SINS on swing base. The first is, initial alignment is completed by using information provided by GPS and SINS, Viz. initial alignment of integrated navigation system; the second is, this problem is solved in interior of the SINS, Viz. initial alignment is completed by using information provided by SINS only. The first method is more suitable to the condition that the rocking amplitude is more than 20cm; the second method is more suitable to the condition that the rocking amplitude is smaller than 20cm.How to solve initial alignment problem on the condition that the rocking amplitude is small in the interior of the SINS is researched in this paper. Characteristic of linear movement aroused by strong flurry is analyzed, and then model of the linear movement is set up in this paper. Model of the system and model of the measuring which are used to complete the initial alignment of the SINS under the effect of the strong flurry is set up separately. Much simulation testing is completed to validate that the method is effective proposed in this paper. Simulation testing of the initial alignment on the condition that there is not linear movement is completed in this paper. Simulation testing of the initial alignment under the effect of the strong flurry is completed using traditional static base method.
