The aim of this paper is to choose more unified and suitable test methods for evaluating the anti-cracking of asphalt mixtures at low temperature. Through comparing and analyzing the testing equipments, experimental conditions and influence factors of the existing test methods, the Indirect Tensile Test has been put forward.Nowadays, the influence of aging procedure has not been considered in evaluating the anti-cracking of asphalt mixtures at low temperature. Presently research and evaluation method on it are very limited. Through the Indirect Tensile Test at different aging condition, research found that: the performance of no-aging asphalt mixtures at low temperature can not reflect and forecast the performance of aging one; The test using the short-term aging mixtures is more sensitive than using long-term one. The research brings that using the short-term aging mixtures to do the test.Based on the test result, this paper does some deeply analyses about the influence from different aspects for evaluating the anti-cracking of asphalt mixtures at low temperature using short-term aging mixtures.
