Because of some shortcoming and deficiency of semi-rigid asphalt pavement, more and more researchers focus on the full depth asphalt pavement and the flexible pavement. It is not reality to be widely used of full depth asphalt pavements in short-term as its high costs. However it is necessary to research and develop flexible asphalt pavement and combined-structure asphalt pavement.According to the typical pavement structure of asphalt concrete in South Africa, this paper present the typical pavement structure of asphalt concrete used in loess II region in China. Though theoretic computation, the paper analyze the sensitivity of the most important design parameter of the structure, and get the subgrade resilience modulus's economic value and the depth of the typical pavement layers, and researches the adaptability of the typical pavement structure to heavy traffic and over-loading traffic. By the experimentation in laboratory, the paper presents the value of resilience modulus and CBR of the loess and the relation between them. At last, the paper brings forward the important technology in the typical pavement construction.
