In this thesis, the dimension synthesis and kinematics analysis of the cam-linkage mechanism are investigated. The mathematical models of the optimum design of the cam-linkage mechanism are constructed. A design system of the cam-linkage mechanism based on the Windows platform is researched and developed. The following problems are dealt with in this thesis.1. The definition of basic mechanism and combined mechanism are given in this text, And the combined mechanism is classified based on the structure.2. The mathematical models of the dimension synthesis and kinematics analysis of several kinds of cam-linkage mechanism that can realize a given law of motion are constructed by analytics.3. Using the minimum lengthways (or horizontal) dimension as the optimizing target and the permit press angle as the constraint condition, the optimize design for the fixed cam-linkage mechanism is achieved by means of SUMT, Powell, and then The structure of the mechanism became more compact on the premise that it can satisfy the needs of motion and force transmission.4. Using Visual Basic as program language, using object-oriented program methods and technology, the cam-linkage mechanism design system is developed, which is including the functions of dimension synthesis, kinematics analysis, data display and dynamic simulation.The automation of cam-linkage mechanism design is realized, which is of considerable practical engineering value and teaching value.
