Highway diseases often occur at the transition section between bridge abutment and embankment. The bump at the approach abutment, which is the intuitionistic showing form, is the difficult problem of worrying the highway construction. By using of on the large-scale test flat and giving the control of ground subsidence curves in this paper, the results of large-scale tests of two different abutments (gravity type and cross brace type), which were treated with Geogrid, Geocell wedged-shaped flexible slab and lime soil replacement, were analyzed. The adaptability to ground subsidence and active property of Geocell Wedged-shaped Flexible Slab were achieved.Based on the spot data of the large-scale tests and using inverse analysis and the large common finite element MARC program, we build the large-scale finite element model of all kinds of treatment technique. Through the parameters achieved by inverse analysis, the author compare and analyze the results between the data get from the finite element model and the spot. The results shows the finite element model is accurate and the probability of the qualitative analysis of large-scale tests by using the finite element model.
