Voltage in stability or collapse has been the subject of recent investigation, which extends the concept of power system stability. FACTS is able to control system parameters flexibly and quickly so that it is more and more recognized as an important way to protect power system from voltage in stability. This thesis focuses on the research of the effect of TCSC and UPFC on power system voltage stability based on the advanced continuation method and the long-time dynamic method . The main result of this thesis includes :1) Analysis the basic principle and the models of TCSC and UPFC.2)Put forward advanced continuation method . Then present the static model of power system installed with UPFC devices.3)Introduce Mid-term dynamic method ,which is used frequently in voltage stability analysis . Dynamic models of TCSC devices for the method are derived., as well as the models of load.4)Finally validates the designing method by digital simulations in the NETPS. The results of simulations reveal that the voltage stability and load margin can tie effectively improved by these two FACTS devices.
