The Available Transfer Capability (ATC) is very important for the security and reliability of power system in electricity market. It can not only instruct the dispatch of the dispatcher and confirm the stability and security of system, but also be seen as market signal to instruct all kinds of trade actions of market participant.Static voltage stability is one of the important factors which can limit ATC.Based on the summarization of previous work, this dissertation conducts systematical research work on ATC calculation constrained by Static voltage stability limit.Firstly ,the presentation of historic and recent research achievement of ATC is given, and definitions about calculation of ATC are introduced in this dissertation, including definitions of Total Transfer Capability, Transmission Reliability Margin,Capacity Benefit Marginetc. Then, Several calculating methods for ATC are compared.Secondly, this dissertation conducts systematical research work on static voltage stability, and a static voltage stability index--L index is used as constraint. An OPF(Optimal Power Flow) formulation for ATC containing Static voltage stability constraints is established and calculated by primal-dual interior point method. At last, this dissertation proposes a new and quick contingency screening and ranking algorithms for transmission line. The results of IEEE 30-bus system show validity.
