The cauterization means the destruction and metamorphosing of all kinds of material in various entironment,and must be taken into account in practical engineering, especially in the electric power system which needs the higher security.The anti-eroding design of grouding material is more important in the power plant.Trusty grounding is one important condition to stabilization of the power system. the anti-eroding design of grounding has not been attached importance to ago,so phenomena appeared such as that cauterization was serious and the grounding material was ruptured.Not only the safe ranning of the electric power system is affected,but also many direct and indirect damages come out to the electric power network and equipments too.along with grounding causes more and more accidents, people think more of the design of the anti-eroding,and cathode protection has been applied gradually in design of the power plants.Because The books and the guidant literature in cathode protection is absent, theories are not tightly contacted to practice, I wrote the article.firstly, it analysed deeply the theory of why metal can be rotted and why cathode can be protected, many methods are summarized.secondly,the theory is connected to the practical engineering, some conclusions were gained. Lastly the design process wes embodied.the result has some practical valueand the method has some generalized value.In the article the process is discussed at key in the design of cathode protection, the newtype theory and menthod are mentioned too, finally I look forward to which the newtype grouding material and protection method shall be improved.
