Self-cleaning Centrifuge Discharge Mechanism

In a traditional filtration centrifuge ,the centrifugal force on the separate materials is always pointed to the wall of the roating bowl, so, by the action of the centrifugal force, the filter liquor passed the screen mesh ,at the same time the solids is detained by the screen cloth and the filter residues has been formed ,so the screen mesh is enveloped and the water separation capability falls off. At last, the filter residues becomes so thick that the screen mesh is fully enveloped and the separation capability lost. The filtration centrifuge places out of service frequently in order to wash out the screen cloth. This paper is about study of a new type of filtration centrifuge, the self-cleaning centrifuge, which can solve the problem automatically that the screen cloth has been enveloped by the residual heel. It is not a long time that the idea of this kind of centrifuge is presented, no one has done the theoretic studies on this kind of centrifuge so far. In order to clarify the working theory of a self-cleaning centrifuge and provide a theoretic guide for this new product, the paper does some pioneering research work on this self-cleaning centrifuge and has completed following studies:First of all, this paper has introduced the general situation and the trend of development of centrifuges, especially, of filtration centrifuges, and their problems. Secondly, on the basis of the introducing of the working theory of a self-cleaning centrifuge, starting off with analyzing the force affected on single dry solid granule on the screen cloth, the equations of relative slippage of granule at the tangential direction and axis direction of self-cleaning centrifuge are discussed, and the slipping conveyance velocity from feeding end to discharging end is given, and the action of the structural parameter and the operating parameter on the producing capacity are discussed. Thirdly, on the basis of the introducing of the solid control system and their trends of development, set viewpoint for that taking place of the currently solid control system by self-cleaning centrifuge, and the executive plan has been discussed. At last, on the basis of the above results, according to some solid control data,some parameter of a self-cleaning centrifuge has been confirmed.This paper has two creative points: first, a self-cleaning centrifuge is different with other centrifuges because by the centrifugal force, the residual heel can be thrown off the screen cloth automatically; second, a viewpoint that taking place of the currently solid control system by self-cleaning centrifuge has been set for, and the executive plan has been given.
