In this dissertation, some flaws of robust design in existence have been summarized on the basis of the systemic review of the development history and current research status of robust design, and the robust design methods base on multi-quality-target have become one of focuses of research of robust design. In order to improve and advance the robustness of the solid rocket engine in the process of manufacture and running, this dissertation is absorbed in implementing multi-quality-target robust design method in the structure design of solid rocket engine.This dissertation introduces the Taguchi robust design method base on the experiment design, being dead against difficult of measuring the whole variability of the multi-target quality characteristic, establishes an appropriate measuring process base on entropy of information theory which can measure random variables. The result of this measuring process is forming a type of Signal-to-Noise formulary of robust design. Considering to the design demands of solid rocket engine, this multi-quality-target robust design process has been practiced on structure design of neck-flange used in certain model solid rocket.
