Comparing with the research of the harmonic problem of the power system, the paper introduced the main academic problems of harmonic in power net and some key techniques used in the development of system, combining with the project of Guixi Smelter and the School of Information Science and Engineering—the development of an instrument for multi-channel harmonic detection and analysis.The paper was total divided into four chapters.The first chapter was built on harmonic fundamental concepts, harmonic harm and influence, and then described the present condition.The second chapter introduced the fundamental theories of harmonicanalysis------Flourier Series and Flourier Transform, summarize thecharacteristic of the harmonic of the power system, expatiate the main purpose, content and methods of harmonic detection, then made a brief direction of harmonic administration.Combining with the project—the development of an instrument for multi-channel harmonic detection and analysis, the third chapter described the system structure, hardware and software of the device, discussed the technology of multi-channel data gathering and illustrated the key techniques used in the development of system, most of which are high precision, high speed sampling of the voltage and current, Fast Flourier Transform(FFT), data compression and storage techniques, multithreading and the computer graphics techniques.The fourth chapters recommended the follow-up work of harmonic detection and analysis of the power network in Guixi Smelter —the development of harmonic filter and inactive power compensation. Combining with the result of the instrument for multi-channel harmonic detection and analysis, the paper brought forward a new hybrid active power filter with high capacity and described the key techniques of the realization of HAPF.
