The 0D( Origin- Destination) data is the basic information of traffic data that express the volume and the direction of vehicle flows. How to systematically, completely, objectively apply the OD data is the traffic analysis foundation. This thesis analyzes it. Studying of Combining the application of GIS( geography information system) in the highway traffic and the analysis of the OD data characteristic, this thesis makes the traffic analysis software TransCAD which have strong GIS function system's platform, and set up Highway Vehicle OD Data Analysis System that composed of data input, OD data mergence, and data analysis application . The aim of this system is to make use of OD data particularly, nicely, and fully, serve the highway building and management better. This thesis studies the optimization technique about GIS and traffic information during data input and OD mergence process, studies how to obtains the foundational space data information directly by born geography data which comes being form GIS software ( ARC/ INFO),and studies how to optimize the foundational space data and the complementary data. Comparing a great variety of OD mergence methods, this thesis puts forward the Advantage Search Method which improving by the Series-Parallel Connection Path Search Method based on Series-Parallel Connection principle and the improved Parallelism Path Method, studies the dynamically path reach analysis method to settle impedance parameter during OD mergence, regards VB as exploitation tool to realize the application of the improved method. This thesis demonstrates the system's application with the HeBei whole province highway OD data analysis system.
