Pre-stress concrete continuous rigid frame bridge has become the main bridge type of the pre-stress concrete bridge, because of its high adaptability to landform, mature technology of design and construction, high spanning ability and reasonable cost, it was adopted abroad in recent years. With the developing and applying of high-pier and long-span continuous rigid frame bridge in our country, some problems in relation to this bridge type are researched and discussed in depth.The model is a representative object that imitates the archetype and copied by following some proportional relations, it has part or whole features of the archetype. By testing for the archetype, the result of working performance resemble in archetype can be arrived, so the working performance of the archetype can be researched. In this paper the theoretical basis of the model testing-three theorems of resemble phenomena and the rules that the model testing must follow-is introduced. And the resemble constants of model testing are established on this basis. The design and produce of the whole model of high-pier and long-span continuous rigid frame bridge and the purpose, content, the step of loading, testing facility and the system of date collecting are discussed in detail. The model bridge that was designed is calculated and analyzed with 3-D space structures analysis software ANSYS in static and dynamic states, and static calculated result is presented in one main operating mode, while the dynamic calculated result of ten steps of the model is presented. The result from analyzing and calculating the distortion effect and shear lag effect of box girder showed that the effects are weak.
