For Preventing Collisions At The Design And Implementation Of Knowledge And Its Management System

With the development of IT and Al technology.the research of Collision Avodidance Expert System, which is valuable to the safty of navigation, avoidance of collisions, and reduction of life and possessions as well as protection of ocean environment.becomes one of the most important research fileds about the navagation technology.The research of Collision Avodidance Expert System couldn't be separated from the collision avoidance knowledge base.However collision avodidance is a complex problem, which is not only restricted by the Rules ,but also affected by the traffic status,the psychology and behavior of seamen.Therefore.lt is a complex and systematic job on how to build a complete and perfect collision avoidance knowledge base.This paper collects and analyses the anti-collision knowledge sourced from different aspects, it classifies the anti-collision knowledge into three types: conduct of vessels, navigation cases and supporting to conduct of vessel based on the different sources and functions of anti-collision during the sailing. This thesis expresses and collects the knowledge of anti-collision according to the different characters and storage of all kinds of anti-collisions. This paper builds a multi-layering base of anit-collision knowlege such as conduct of sailing, conception and expert knowledge base , anti-collision signals and navigation cases in order to conveniently manage and use the anti-collision knowledge. It also carries on preliminary research on the coherence of the knowledge of the conduct of vessel and navigation cases and gives the relevant algorithms.In the section about usage of software, the paper clearly show the Management System of Anti-collision Knowledge Base that developed in Java language and adopts MS SQLServer2000 as database server. It can help people to easily obtain and manage the anti-collision knowledge.
