| Concrete structures strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced plastic sheet is a newretrofit method in the field of civil engineering. In this paper, based on the experiment ofnineteen simply supported reinforced concrete beams strengthened in shear with extremelybonded carbon fiber sheet,the failure type,the ultimate shear strength and the influencefactors that are related to shear strengthening effect are researched and analyzed. Thefailure type include : carbon fiber sheet rupture,carbon fiber sheet and concrete beams peeloff and shear destroy transformed flexural destroy. The influence factors include stickupfashion,width and spacing of CFRP,layers of CFRP,beams'span ratio and beams'condition before strength. Simulating reality situation restrengthing beams are researched,which apart unload reinforcing and load reinforcing.The test results show that the shear strength is obviously increased and the capality ofthese beams is also improved. According to the analysis of the experimental results, aformula for estimating the shear capacity is proposed. Comparing with experimental data,the calculation results show good agreement.With the cognition and research of CFRP, strengthening with carbon fiber reinforcedplastic sheet will be widely used in the increasing field of civil engineering. |
