The main contents of the thesis are as follows:1) The test of tensile strength of concrete cylinder by transverse cutting method is studied by finite element method and experiment; Both theoretical analysis and experiment show that tensile strength can be obtained by transverse cutting method.2) The three-partition strength of the long-age hydraulic carbonated concrete is measured by transverse cutting method. It was discovered that tensile strength regularity varied with carbonated zone and half- carbonated zone and uncarbonated zone of the hydraulic carbonated concrete.3) Rusty fundamental of rebar is explained; Rusty rebar of the long-age hydraulic reinforced concrete that corrosion ratio is less than 6 percent is been mechanical test. Experience formula between corrosion rate and nominal yielding strength and nominal ultimate strength is established.4) The test of erosion of sulphuric acid on the long-age hydraulic concrete and new concrete sample by transverse cutting method of concrete cylinder is analyzed. The variable cause of the nominal transverse cutting strength of long-age hydraulic concrete and new concrete after erosion of sulphuric acid is analyzed.5) Strain character of concrete Poisson's ratio with cylinder sample by theory is analyzed. The tests show that concrete Poisson's ratio is approximate same value between cylinder and prismoidal sample, and stability length of tested concrete Poisson's ratio with cylinder sample is longer than with prismoidal sample.
