Induction motor is a System with the characters of high order, strong complex coupling, non-linearity and multivariable. As a kind of decoupled control approaches, Vector control transforms the AC model of induction motor to the equivalent DC model by coordination transformation, which improves the industry applications of induction motor. However, the inherent nonlinear character of induction motor and the uncertain parameters variety in practical application induce that conventional control methods call not obtain satisfactory results. Therefore, the paper combines fuzzy control with other intelligent control methods and modern control methods in order to study the intelligent control and optimization in AC speed-adjustable system.The paper analyses conventional fuzzy control method from four criteria, namely, control-action composition, coupling influence, gain dependency and rule growth, And based on such analysis, a novel one dimension fuzzy controller is proposed with the merits of simple construction and definite physical meaning of parameters. The controller effectively decouples and reduces the number of fuzzy control rules. Then, the paper uses modern variable structure control theory and one method of adding a switching line feed forward term to the output fuzzy corltroller to form a novel sliding-mode fuzzy contrller, is put forward, which improves equality of control system. Moreover, a systematic study is made on the stability of fuzzy control system and a stable fuzzy controller is submitted in AC speed-adjustable system.To prove practicability of intelligent ccontrol in AC speed-adjust- able system, the paper includes detailed simulation process and result. The experiment results show that the intelligent control methods adopted in the paper obtains satisfactory results basically.
